exploring international resources

The international resource that I chose to explore this week was UNICEF ( https://www.unicef.org/socialpolicy/index_childpoverty.html ); this organization focuses on child poverty and how to help children in poverty by doing projects and providing resources that may help them to better improve their lives, along with their families. From this website I have learned that there are both monetary and non monetary ways to support children in need. Sometimes all they need is the right resource/tool to improve their education or health. A quote from the organizations website caught my attention, " while an adult may fall into poverty temporarily, falling into poverty in childhood can last a lifetime- rarely does a child get a second chance at an education or a healthy start in life" (UNICEF, 2018). This shows that it is important for children to start their early years with a solid foundation, not worrying about poverty and health problems. This also shows that poverty is started at a young age can be passed on from generation to generation.
