research that benefits children and families

If I had knowledge to conduct a research study about any topic in the early childhood field I would choose, proving to parents and children that extra help like tutoring or beneficial resources are helpful and beneficial to the child and also to the families. A lot of families have households where both parents or the single parent works and the child, if they need help in anything educational, do not have the help needed or anyone to ask questions to. On the other hand, there are a lot of parents out there who do not remember math and science topics, and get frustrated when they cannot help their child. What I would like to prove is the benefit a tutor or extra after school help would do to help a child to become academically successful. I know that there is a lot of research done on this topic already. But I would like to show the outcome of recourses that are available to everyone and that you do not have to pay for. This shows that everyone has access to these resources and it will show the benefits that any child and their family can receive from the extra help.
